Your name, where are you from, and what are you studying?
My name is Alice, I’m from Surrey and I’m studying Economics.
Why did you choose to study at UEA?
Firstly, I liked the course. UEA specialises in Behavioural Economics and that has always been my favourite area – the human side. Then when I came to visit all the lecturers were incredibly friendly and I felt this sense of attachment to UEA so quickly. It just felt like somewhere I belonged from the first visit.
Do you have a favourite module, and can you tell us why?
My favourite module has definitely been Behavioural economics. I love looking into the real side of economics; beyond the theory and into how people actually behave in the real world. I find it fascinating and I now notice when I show the behaviours we get taught about.
What is the best thing about studying at UEA?
While everyone was super friendly at the open day, I could never have imagined how amazing the community at UEA, and within ECO, would be. I’m usually quite a shy person who enjoys being a wallflower, but I’ve found myself wanting to get involved in the community so much!
What do you do for socialising, or any other extra-curricular activities?
I am a part of the Neurodivergent society and I really enjoy chatting to them. Norwich also has a really cool indoor crazy golf place that I enjoy going to with my friends!
